    simply laced Dynkin diagrams of types A, D and E (but excluding type B and C)

    Simply laced excludes B and C by definition right ? This is in a confusing contradiction with the usage of the word “but” in brackets…

    I have added a section here discussing how one may see, via N=2N = 2 super Yang-Mills theory, why and how the finite subgroups of SU(2)SU(2) corresponding to some Dynking diagram are related to the compact simpl Lie groups corresponding to the same Dynkin diagram.
