The problem is this HTML link: https://doi.org/10.1016/S0022-4049(02)00143-3
That works fine as input to a web browser, but the embedded () pair conflicts with your use of () pairs to delimit HTML links.
Robert Williamson suggested I replace the () with their HTML codes, yielding https://doi.org/10.1016/S0022-4049(02)00143-3
but that doesn't work either, at least when I tried it.
The nlab page in question is for the 3x3 lemma.
Thought this issue might be worth a thread of its own.
