    I used to point to Theorem 5.1.3.6 in http://www.math.harvard.edu/~lurie/papers/higheralgebra.pdf for the May recognition theorem. Now that file is gone, superceded by http://www.math.harvard.edu/~lurie/papers/HA.pdf and the numbering changed. Where in the new file is the May recognition theorem? (It’s not referred to under this name, unfortunately.)

    The most annoying part is that Higher Algebra is not on arXiv, unlike Higher Topos Theory.

    Yes, the last update was on September 18, 2017.

    I don’t understand why he doesn’t publish what he already has (1553 pages, Letter-sized!).

    It is always possible to produce a second edition if changes are necessary.

    The fact that HTT is on the arXiv would be more useful if the arXiv version were kept up to date. RIght now the arXiv version is about 9 years older than the one posted on Lurie’s web page, and IIRC the updates in those years were not merely cosmetic but actually fixed some errors. It’s not clear to me that having an out-of-date version posted on the arXiv is better than having no version posted on the arXiv.
