starting something, to go along with first stable homotopy group of spheres and third stable homotopy group of sphere – but for the moment just collecting references

according to Hopkins’ talk at Atiyah’s 80th birthday (slide 8, 9:45) Pontryagin had announced the computation of πs2 at the International Congress of Mathematics of 1930 (with some mistake, but anyway). Is there any trace (e.g. in proceedings) of that 1930 ICM talk?

re #2: ah, it was ICM 1936 in Oslo, not 1930. Have included the reference now, as Pontrjagin36. Also re-arranged the list of references a little, and added pointer to Ravenel’s page A collection of earlier and more recent papers related to the Arf-Kervaire invariant problem.
