    (It’s usually easy to figure out if a page for an author already exists in some variant of spelling/abbreviating the name: Typically just googling “nLab Author Name” does the trick. If one needs more precision then “Author Name site:ncatlab.org”.

    Most author page that I created are titled in the format “FirstName LastName”, leaving out any initials, and if the author page hasn’t been used/referred to much, then variants with initials will typically not be redirected yet.

    Therefore if you simply type [[FirstName MiddleInitial LastName]] or even [[FirstName MiddleInitial YetAnotherInitial LastName]] without checking if [[FirstName LastName]] already exists, you are likely to produce an unnecessarily broken link.)
