I'm curious about the relation between transgression and transgression of bundle gerbes. The main reference for the later one is Konrad Waldorf's paper.
Are the two subjects equivalent, though interpreted from different perspectives?
If yes, why Waldorf's paper is not included in the item "Trangression". If not, what is the relation between the two?

    • (edited Dec 11th 2022)

The point of Konrad’s articles is to characterize the image of the transgression operation on bundle gerbes, i.e. to describe how to recognize if a bundle on loop space arises as the transgression of a bundle gerbe on the base (namely: if it carries fusion structure).

I can add the references to the entry, when I have a spare minute.

[edit: have done so now, announced here]

(In most cases, a reference not being included in some entry just signifies that nobody got around to including it.)
