What notation should I use for constant sheaves? Is there a standard notation for this in the nLab? I have been using underlines, e.g., .
Generally, it’s difficult to try to establish and probably dangerous to rely on conventions across nLab pages. With so many people editing at different points in time and space, we are not going to succeed in implementing a real standard.
Which doesn’t mean we can’t try. But I think best practice would be if every entry tries to briefly state its notation convention in some way or other.
Somewhere I wrote for a constant sheaf on , to be real self-explanatory. But of course that’t not nice notation.
I’d say that underline is certain very standard for constant sheaves and so we should freely use it. But adding a brief comment on notation in each entry would still be good anyway.
