Someone said this was relevant in the [2006 nCafe discussion](https://golem.ph.utexas.edu/category/2006/09/ringoids.html#c063224). Maybe could include link to Peter Po Hsiang Chu's 1984 thesis [Theory of Ringoids](https://escholarship.mcgill.ca/concern/theses/q811kn193) or better encourage him to edit this page.
