    Finally finished the main definition. There is a problem with rendering. The usual notation for the ring of noncommutative rational functions is a combination of

    k(X) k(X)

    and

    kX k\langle X\rangle

    where the two kinds of brackets overlap but here it renders badly:

    k(X) k\langle\!\!\!(X\rangle\!\!\!)

    Maybe to use <\lt instead of \langle,

    k<(X>) k\lt\!\!\!\!\!(\,X\!\!\gt\!\!\!\!\!)
