Last night, the nLab page count crossed the mark of 20K (according to the number shown at the top of All pages)

Now, especially in view of recent events, that nominal number is far from the number of actual topic entries, as it counts also a plethora of deleted pages, include-pages, and author pages — but it is a counter that increases only by editorial activity on the nLab and as such that number, or at least its gradient, is a rough measure for the vitality of the nLab — which remains low in absolute terms but is stable with a slight upwards trend, I feel.

Incidentally, the (always small) group of regularly active individuals, showing some sense of responsibility for the nLab overall, has changed substantially since we crossed, say, 8K entries in 2013 and I’ll take the occasion to say heartfelt Thanks! to those who help this site stay afloat. Recent events show that this is far from trivial.

Bravo everyone! But especially Urs, for contributing the lion’s share of content.

Yes, a hell of an achievement! And it’s gratifying to hear people speak fondly of the nLab these days as the go-to place for questions within its scope.
