    I have taken the liberty of reorganizing the paragraphs at topological index, such that first the definition itself is stated completely, and then the exposition of the Pontrjagin-Thom collapse map/fiber integration follows that as furher detail.

    What do you think?

    Thank You. Good work. Thanks to Alain Connes, there's an approaxh to topological index using the tangent groupoid. I will write it as soon as possible. I think it is well adapted to the spirit of nLab.

    Interesting. Please do. I haven’t seen that approach yet.
