I've started a rudimentary nForum FAQ (nlabmeta) over on nlabmeta. There are a few quirks of the forum that seem worth recording somewhere and a wiki page seemed the best place for it. On meta then it should be sufficiently out of the way. I've put a link to it on the tab bar at the top of the pages on the forum (just next to the 'nLab' tab - did anyone notice that?).

Feel free to add things to the FAQ as you think appropriate.

Thanks, I started to do the same thing at FAQ and then saw what you'd done. Do we really want it to be so "out of the way," though? At least it should be linked from the main nlab, so that people can find it.

It's linked from here (look at the list across the top of the page). I envisioned it more as an internal FAQ for the forum, being more a sort of "How do I do X on the forum?" rather than "What's the forum for?" which belongs more at the nLab FAQ. So that sort of question will arise when you are on the forum, hence the link from here. I guess we could link it from the nLab FAQ as well.

I don't want nForum stuff to distract from nLab stuff. It should help but never get in the way.

Ah, nice. Yes, that's probably fine.
