When trying to export either format (Markup or HTML) from <>, I get an error.

Oops! Please report this on the nForum (in the Technical category), giving as precise details as you can as to what triggered the error.

There’s also the following exception in a comment in the HTML of the page:

    exception: Permission denied @ rb_sysopen - /home/nlab/www/prod/storage/

I tried the same. The error page was: XML Parsing Error: junk after document element Location: Line Number 3, Column 1:

    Back to the Home Page.

This recent (Aug 2014) thread, optimizations, talks about export being disabled (because it was consuming too much resources).

    in particular

    • disable the export feature completely (maybe link it to this page)

maybe it is in a disabled limbo of being broken but possibly being able to be reactivated as opposed to having all traces of it completely removed.

I think the export button was intended to send the user to the relevant announcement that it was disabled.

Right, there should be a notice that export is not working, sorry about that.
