it is long overdue that we create a table listing what appears in the ADE pattern.

In a stolen minute I gave it a start at ADE – table.

I don’t know where to put is, but Drew Armstrong’s What is ADE? might be a good reference.

A snappier summary by the same author is here. Looks like these references could go to ADE classification.

Obviously an embarrassment of riches. Might also mention some of This Week’s Finds, e.g., Week 65 and Week 230.

Speaking of the graphs Y pqrY_{pqr}, the special case Y 666Y_{666} comes up in the study of the Monster group (with the obvious triality of the graph turning up in the triality that helps build the Monster).

Thanks. Literature on the ADE pattern should indeed go to the entry ADE classification. Here I was trying to motivate me/us to create a nice hyperlinked ADE – table that would show the relevant patterns and/or to create the entries for keywords in this table, in as far as they are still missing.

I have expanded just a tad more. Will come back to this later.

I have hyperlinked the table headers with classification of finite rotation groups, and added the symbols for the various finite groups to the table

    added a row for D4.

Also adjusted the labels on the D-series.
