When I try to log out, the processor gets stuck in a loop between PostBackAction=SignOut and PostBackAction=SignOutNow …

Yeah, it's broken. You can log out if you delete the cookies from math.ntnu.no or www.math.ntnu.no. (It's harder for Andrew, since he has other cookies from that domain, but you probably only have the cookies for the forum.)

I really, really hope that this is completely unnecessary to say: if you are on a public computer then you really must delete all cookies when you close the browser. That will log you out of any websites that you are logged in to, including this one, (unless there's some sort of authentication method that doesn't use cookies, but most at this level do).

I think I've fixed this now. It took quite some tracking down, but it should now be possible to log out and log back in again.

Technical note: logging out may not destroy all the relevant cookies. I think that the session cookie doesn't get destroyed, it merely gets ignored in future communication. This ought to be alright since a session cookie should be deleted when the browser quits.
