I’ve started running Firefox 57 in the Nightly distribution. The only difference I’ve noticed with nLab/nForum/nCafe is that the Stylish extension no longer works however Stylus seems fine as a replacement.
I’ve put the 2 styles I use on userstyles.org in case anybody else wants them:
If anybody has personal styles note that they should be exported before upgrading to Firefox 57. Here are Instructions on how to export from Stylish and import to Stylus.
(I’m not sure why userstyles is not showing the screenshot of small comment nesting but here is a direct link)
These user styles wouldn’t be necessary if the CSS of these sites were fixed to my preferences :}
A lot of things are going to break with Firefox 57 (which goes live for all users on November 14).
Yeah, lots of old extensions will break.
Then again that gives the developers the “opportunity” to upgrade to the newer Javascript paradigms that easily handle asynchronous processes, lazy evaluation, and can utilize more than 1 core in a multicore CPU.
Eventually lots of a browser’s APIs will become asynchronous promise

I used to be a big user of GreaseMonkey. See greasemonkey-4-for-script-authors.html for how it is embracing the new world (but isn’t ready yet.) For those who want to run old synchronous userscripts there are the GM variants compatible with 57: Violentmonkey and Tampermonkey.
I used to have some scripts for nLab/nForum but I abandoned them a while back.
