It is clear for ghosts that the ghost particles can not be measured as they appear only as internal mediators in Feynman diagrams, but in general reformulations, the nature does not distinguish in general what is genuine or not, unless one has an ur-multiplet in some GUT like unification where the genuine refers to one single natural entity and symmetry among its avatars. In supersymmetry, Wess-Zumino model is originally not in superspace formalism and one also introduces new variables to make it manifestly supersymmetric. As an enthusiast for supersymmetry -- do you consider them non-genuine ?
