I can’t find the discussion, but it seems to me there was recent discussion about how to quote text and the usage of the > symbol, which is now deprecated (?). Am I dreaming?

There is nothing about quoting in HowTo; I’d like to add in the accepted way to do this. My immediate target for this is the quotation of Deligne in dichotomy between nice objects and nice categories.

We were certainly worrying that > is being converted to

Thanks, David. In that discussion there is Urs#69, where he says he fixes the misuses of > for blockquotes when he sees them. However, I don’t know how he changes them, or what is the preferred action. Urs, could you shed light on this please?

Oh, I didn’t know it was that easy. I thought there was something in the software that was changing > to > so that that wouldn’t work. Anyway, thanks.
