    • Klaas Pruiksma, William Chargin, Frank Pfenning, and Jason Reed, Adjoint Logic, (pdf)

They contrast their work with Mike’s, writing

…work by Licata et al. [16] elegantly generalizes Reed’s first and unpublished definition of adjoint logic [25] by providing more structure to the adjunctions. Briefly, the preorder of modes is replaced by a 2-category, which allows the faithful representation of additional examples (for example, all of judgmental S4 instead of just its normal fragment), including some constructions in homotopy type theory. They also provide a detailed categorical semantics. However, the independence principle upon which ADJ is based is only an emergent property of some mode structures, which in some cases leads to more complicated adequacy proofs. Also, they do not investigate focusing or polarization.

What happens when adjoint logic meets game semantics? Could we have players operating in a number of arenas where different game rules apply? So we might have a classical arena and an intuitionistic one, Class and Int. The existence of a strategy for a proposition in Class corresponds to a strategy for the double negation translated version in Int. But you might have a single game distributed over the arenas.
