Abstract: Gravity is wonderful.
Acknowledgements: The chance of being able to spend a brief time in the sun is so ridiculously small, that it feels stupefying

They take seriously the seconds that the gravitational wave from GRB 170817A arrived before its electromagnetic signal, trying to see if this could be consistent with the assumption that the GW took a shortcut through an RS-like bulk.
I haven’t been following this on the GW-detection side. Does anyone have a source discussing just that delay and what has been made of it?
Thanks. Scanning through section 5 there I gather that a general contender for these delays is the simple idea that the EM signal is delayed because it takes some time for the system to become transparent to radiation, in one way or other. Hence the EM signal would be delayed because it gets to start later, not because it is slower. Which makes intuitive sense.
