I believe commutative monad should redirect to monoidal monad and not to commutative algebraic theory (but of course have a link to the latter). Is anyone disagreeing?

I might disagree. It seems that the page commutative algebraic theory is the one that actually defines the term “commutative monad”.

Perhaps the best solution would be to have a separate page called commutative monad.

We can do that too! Anybody against a separate page?

I’m not against it, but what I don’t want is surgical removal of material from already existing articles. This often creates unintended problems. Repetition of material would be okay.

Okay, started a separate page, commutative monad. No other page has been hurt in the process.
