By the way, I think that base/basis for/of a topology is far more used phrase (in classical general topology books) than rare term "topological base" in this sense, while "topological basis" is used in completely another meaning in functional analysis. I had today hard time finding [[basis of a topology]] in $n$Lab and after 5 searches almost created a new pages for the existing concept.
