Since there are existing pages for category theory software, I thought it worth creating a page for quiver, since it may be helpful for people who have not come across the tool.

Changed name to “quiver (editor)”. I’m not sure what the best name for the page is, so please do offer suggestions if this is not appropriate (e.g. perhaps “quiver (application)” or similar is better).

    Added a screenshot.

Is it easy to adjust the label positions with quiver?

For instance, in the screenshot (here) the label “βf\beta' f” is closer to an arrow that it doesn’t belong to than to its actual host arrow. I find myself working against these tikzcd-glitches all the time.

Is it easy to adjust the label positions with quiver?

It’s easy to change the label position along an arrow (e.g. near the start or end of the arrow). It’s not currently possible to change the distance of a label from an arrow (other than the alignment of the label, e.g. centred on the arrow), but this would be easy to add support for if that was also useful.

I don’t know yet if I get around to using the quiver tool, but when I do I will probably want to move those labels in their relative y-direction :-)

By the way, have added a brief pointer to quiver at HowTo, here. Please feel invited to edit further as you see the need.

Allow me to ask: Since I see now that you, the author of the quiver app, have publicly revealed your real name here, how about we state it on this nLab page, too? Unless there is a reason to remain pseudonymous?

I don’t have an issue with that.

    Great, thanks.
