created TOC mapping space - contents and added it as “floating TOC” to relevant entries.

Andrew, please check which of your entires on mapping spaces are still missing, if any. What’s the status of your project differential topology of mapping spaces?

“General abstract” is a tautology, but it’s too late for me to think of a better term!

The status of that project is pretty much as shown on that page: ie, not very far along. I kept getting sidetracked and I keep meaning to go back to it as I’d really like to have all that done. It’s not just transferring, though, as the whole thing generalises very nicely to fairly arbitrary spaces. The conference in Hamburg has actually reignited my interest in this, and so I’d like to get back to this. Maybe I should do a “sketch” on each page of what will go there first, rather than trying to plod along in a linear fashion.

(Plus it’s part of the stalled project with David Roberts so that just piles on the guilt!)

If it were a tautology, it would be easy for you to think of a better term: just pick one of the two! ;-)

Thank you Andrew - no guilt meant, but it’s nice to know that it is still happening :)

I’ve put some stubs up for some of the pages listed on differential topology of mapping spaces to show their direction.

I have added a bunch of cross links between the various entries.

You had “tubular neighbourhoods”redirect to tubular neighbourhoods for mapping spaces. I made it instead redirect to tubular neighbourhood. I also renamed the former to singular, “tubular neighbourhood of a mapping space”, though maybe it should be “in” instead of “of”?

Yes, I noticed that tubular neighbourhoods thing when I created the page, which is why I renamed it. The original link on differential topology of mapping spaces was just to tubular neighbourhoods but I guessed that there was a genuine tubular neighbourhood page but forgot to look for it - I also figured that there was probably a US/UK issue with the “neighbourhood”! I’ve now corrected the link on differential topology of mapping spaces so that it points to the correct one.
