I’ve just been reading the MacTutor biography of Bolzano and I find it quite incredible the number of things he anticipated (more than I knew of, and I knew he worked out things Cauchy gets credit for). I would be interested if there was anything of particular interest to people here in his four-volume Wissenschaftslehre. See eg Wikipedia for some section outlines. Digitised versions: vol 1, vol 2, vol 3, vol 4.
In particular, he had what seems to be good views on mathematical foundations, but perhaps didn’t have the weight of material that the later foundationalists (Frege, Cantor, Russell, Zermelo) had access to.
Stubby and entirely inadequate beginning of an article Bernard Bolzano.
