Someone styling themselves ’the corrector’ has made quite major edits to the local-global principle as well as altering FRS-theorem on rational 2d CFT slightly. That latter entry has also been edited by ’the riddler’. My guess is that the changes need checking out, but I am not competent to do so. I checked the first persons IP number and it looked slightly suspicious. It is 115.178.250.123. The other number (185.56.137.14) is listed as being active in forum spam. The change made by the latter would be easy to correct but I will leave it for the moment as evidence of the spam.
I just noticed the riddler is back at Yuri Manin. and also again at local-global principle. Each change is minor but destroys the grammar of the entry.
Thanks for the alert. This is weird. I have rolled back to before this person’s edits.
(Not that “local-global principle” is a particularly valuable entry in its present form, but these edits certainly didn’t improve it.)
I looked at the changes made to Yuri Manin, but was not sure if they might not have improved the structure, so have left that entry alone.
There is more interference from that source in various p-adic entries. I have rolled them back one stage. (This person should be blocked as a spammer.)
Thanks, Tim. I’ll forward the blocking request to Adeel.
Adeel has now kindly blocked the relevant IP addresses. Thanks again to you, Tim, for the alert.
