is there any variant of
\downarrow
that makes a downarrow appear that is longer than usual?
For horizontal arrows there is
\longrightarrow
etc, and one gets even longer horizontal arrows by typing things like
\overset{\phantom{AAAAAAAAA}}{\longrightarrow}
But how about vertical arrows?
How about \Bigg\downarrow?
That gives compared with .
Also \big\downarrow, \Big\downarrow, \bigg\downarrow:
, ,
Ah, didn’t know about this. Thanks!
You can also use \left
and \right
with vertical arrows, for something more analogous to the stretchy horizontal arrows that appear with \overset
.
Thanks, so I didn’t know that vertical arrows may be treated as delimiters. That’s useful to know.
