    This used to be a side-remark at wave front set, I have given it its own entry: Paley-Wiener-Schwartz theorem.

    Is there a good concise name for the functions that appear in the Paley-Wiener-Schwartz theorem as the Fourier-Laplace transform of compactly supported distributions? It is tempting to say something like “polynomially bounded”, but that’s not quite right. Is there a good name?
