A few of the recent slow-downs in the nLab have been due to someone using a program called 'WebCopier' to get a copy of the entire nLab for offline browsing. This program does not respect the 'robots.txt' directive and so truly attempts to download absolutely everything on the nLab. The slow-downs that this causes are unacceptable. I've put in place a fairly crude block which redirects anyone using that program to a page which essentially asks them not to do so.

(You can see the polite message at http://ncatlab.org/Please_dont_download_the_nLab.html, suggestions for improvements welcome.)

Hopefully, no-one else will notice this block. Please let me know if you do.

The only thing that I would change is the URI of the link to http://www.math.ntnu.no/~stacey/Vanilla/nForum/?CategoryID=13 so that they automatically put their contact attempt in the right category.
