    The article Meas is a really weird article. Do we really need it?

    I always wanted to rewrite it, but I never got around to it.

    Thanks for the alert. I hadn’t looked at this entry for over 11 years, nor remembered what’s in it.

    I have removed that ancient exchange in the entry Meas, and just kept and brushed up the one line that says which category is to be described here.

  2. There was one query box at the bottom of the page that talked about a list of planned revisions to the article, which I have removed in accordance to the writing in the nLab article:

    +– {: .query}

    Revision plan

    1. Describe several variations of definition:

      • with a filter of full sets,
      • localizable,
      • Cheng,
      • from a delta-ring etc,
      • localic,
      • finitary,
      • noncommutative.
    2. Do measurable functions only afterwards, stressing almost-everywhere equality. Describe the relevant categories.

    3. Mention measure spaces and anything else.

    =–

    The list of planned revisions was started in 2011 by Toby Bartels (revision 42) as a section at the bottom of the article, and was moved into a query box by Urs Schreiber in 2014 (revision 54)

  3. I added the actual references for the Bishop Bridges textbook and the Bishop Cheng textbooks for Cheng’s measurable spaces in the General subsection.
