    Link operator spectrum, partly so the notation looks nicer, possibly to point to the infinite-dimensional case. (But since there are many different operator spectra in that case, this doesn't answer the question of which we want, of course.)

    In the context of probability theory, the min-entropy of a discrete probability distribution is the negative logarithm of the probability of the most likely outcome. It is never greater than the ordinary entropy of that distribution.
