At the beginning of nlab there was a peer pressure that we should not have simultanously an entry for monad and an entry for comonad for example, and I had to argue in few cases that examples important in practice are a bit different and alike. But eventually the variants of the same idea may deserve to have some word of their own while the bulk of common material can be directed to just one of the pages.
