I have added hyperlinks to (higher) category theory (!) and added the category:reference tag.

Added paper by Kelly which discusses the origin of the Australian Category Seminar, with a quote of the relevant paragraph (the reference is paywalled).

The link appears to be broken. I have enquired as to the new link.

  1. I have corrected both the current and the former name of the seminar by removing the word “Theory”.

  2. I have also never heard or seen the seminar referred to as "AusCat" on its own (only in the combination "AusCat Seminar"). Other abbreviations in use are ACS and AusCatSem.

I think I probably got this from the website, which does just use “AusCat”. But it would be better to mention names that are actually used in practice.

  3. Ah, then I have seen it before!
  4. I have updated the link to the seminar’s spiffing new webpage.

It would be nice if the official site could also have the list of older talks (and even abstracts!)

It does list the older talks and abstracts, at least since 1996. It would be nice if it were possible to fill in the missing abstracts from the start of the seminar, though.

I have discovered that the website source is on GitHub; if it was possible to find a record of the titles/abstracts from the start of the seminar to 1996, I would be happy to submit a pull request to add them to the website.

At the very least the material from the 1980s that’s linked from this page could be added….
