   Format: MarkdownItexHyphens should go outside of math mode, lest they turn into minus signs. Example: * Wrong: `$C^*-$algebra`, producing ‘$C^*-$algebra’; * Correct: `$C^*$-algebra`, producing ‘$C^*$-algebra’. (Unless they're *supposed* to be minus signs.) Just a friendly technical note!

   Hyphens should go outside of math mode, lest they turn into minus signs. Example:

   • Wrong: $C^*-$algebra, producing ‘$C^*-$algebra’;
   • Correct: $C^*$-algebra, producing ‘$C^*$-algebra’.

   (Unless they’re supposed to be minus signs.)
