    I tried posting a message containing the Unicode symbol for λ\lambda (https://www.compart.com/en/unicode/U+1D706), and I got an error. I had expected that the nForum supported full Unicode?

    which coding are you trying to use? It works for instance for λ, see the Sandbox.

    I am just using the Unicode symbol directly, rather than encoding it using HTML or anything else.

    Testing: λ (verbatim Unicode character).

    Sorry, I found the code for the wrong lambda character. The one I actually tried was this one, i.e. “Mathematical Italic Small Lamda” [sic].
