Not sure why the space isn’t rendering.

This is a known bug (not that this explains why it’s there, of course) which I had raised to the technical team some time ago. Apparently it’s not easy to fix.

Since the bug shows up only for lines which start out with consecutive hyperlinks, one way to work around it is to add a non-hyperlinked word to the start of the line.

If that is not an option, a brute force workaround is to add whitespace by hand, like this:

      [[small category|small]]$\;$[[finitely complete categories]]

(But be sure not to have extra whitespace before and after the dollar signs, so that the rendering doesn’t break again should the bug ever get fixed!)

A possible different work around is to rephrase that line: small categories that are finitely complete. To me that has better style anyway (but that is subjective, of course), AND avoids the bug.

Added a reference to a paper of Zawadowski.
