    The + and - is really only a convention so ’getting them right’ is not quite the right way to describe them. You are setting your (and our) convention for the discussion!

    Yes, but I don’t want to be at variance to the rest of humanity (not over this, at least!). I had trouble enough figuring out all the different HOMFLY-PTs with different labels for the variables that I wanted to get at least this bit right.

    Following Zoran, I have added a few more references to HOMFLY-PT polynomial, but some of the intermediate work should be mentioned and is not, also other introductory discussions, I have self advertised here.:-)
