    Cosma Shalizi (mentioned in the entry) is my classmate from a number of graduate classes, we used to solve classical mechanics homework in the same room, the night before the due morning…I have not heard form him for a decade or so…Shahshahani (mentioned in the blog) is also my acquaintance from the graduate school, he was a visiting professor there and one of the careful listeners of my first seminar on coherent states for quantum groups.
