Thanks. I have crossed-linked with TCFT, which has been effectively our entry on topological strings.

But in principle TCFT is a larger subject, isn’t it ? (genuine, not rethoric, question)

Yes, if in the strict sense by “topological string” one means the A-model and the B-model only, which of course if what is usually meant.

Wikipedia article mentions closely related “topological M-theory” and also say

There are two main versions of topological string theory: the topological A-model and the topological B-model.

suggesting (possibilty of?) some other (closely related?) variants. Maybe I am expecting too much… In any case, the nLab article should be a service for article readers, so that they learn what the words usually mean, hence it is good to distinguish from the wider context of TCFT.

Sure, I agree. I have added a few more words to the Idea-section at topological string.

Will create a stub for topological M-theory now.

Thank you for clarifying! You are such a good resource :)

P.S. typo in the entry – hyphen in B-branes link – I am not correcting as there are some conventions with hyphen variants in page names which I am not competent with.
