    I have slightly expanded. I also added some more formatting. And I cross-linked with point. And generally, I keep changing “spaces” to topological spaces. (And only if that is really not what is meant I turn it into space.)

    Just a thought:

    Suppose one had a class / category of objects that were to serve as domains for ’points’, what would be reasonable conditions to ask of them? (Yhis is related to coshape?)

    Michel Vacquié gave a nice talk on ’points’ at the summer school that I went to at St. Flour. Unfortunately he does not seem to have put a copy on the web.
