Thanks for the link. Well, I can look into reference “anchors”, but this was at this point when I am cutting and pasting between this page and some other texts and pages (some local) which I edit now much more convenient and useful form for me and my present work purposes.
So to add an anchor to a reference you type
* {#Kid80} Billy the Kid, _How to kill a cohomology class_ (1880)
and then to refer to it from the text you do
As vividly shown by [Kid 80](#Kid80), we may kill $c_2$ by...
