So, apparently twisted forms links to the differential forms page, and is related to the notion of -twisted forms for a line bundle . However, this is also the name of the more general notion of possible descent data on a pulled back sheaf (where I’m being vague about context because it’s a pretty general idea). The notion at differential forms is just one particular example of this. In particular, such things are classified by nonabelian cohomology. Anyway, in an attempt to deal with this, I made a page called formes tordues which is just the French name for it (and the name that Knus and Ojanguren use in one of my favorite references on the subject), though I’ve not written anything there. I figured, however, that I should ask here before going any further, since that’s kind of snarky, just making another version of the page in French…
Thoughts?

The right thing to do would be to make the new page be called “twisted form” (singular) and remove the redirect from differential form. This sort of thing happens a lot: when we don’t have a page about something yet, we often make it redirect to the closest thing yet available, but when someone wants to actually make the page, they remove the redirect.
Ah, okay, thanks! Uhhh, am I able to delete that other page?
To effectivley delete a page here one just removes all links to it and renames it to something with evident meta-meaning. Following a tradition initated by Toby I usually rename to
original name > history
It doesn’t matter what you rename it to, it should just be something that will never collide with an actually intended entry.
To physically remove pages, somebody with admin rights on the nLab would have to run the garbage collector. That should remove all “orphaned” entries, meaning those that have no links pointing to them.
I am not aware that we ever did this. Maybe one day we should.
Thanks Urs! It’s now orphaned and alone.
(For future reference, you could also have just renamed the page “formes tordues” to “twisted form”.)
Oh. Haha, yeah… good point.
#6 and #4 are sound advice; additionally, you should redirect formes tordues to twisted form. (I have done this, and also regularized the appearance of formes tordues > history.)
