I added the following to the Charles Sanders Peirce page:
Peirce’s philosophy can be seen as Schellingism transformed in light of (in Peirce’s time) modern physics, as Peirce himself notes in an 1894 letter to William James:
( My reason for doing this is b/c w/ Urs/Lawvere’s updating of Hegel, Zalamea et al’s updating of Novalis, Zalamea’s updating of Peirce, and Petitot et al’s updating of Kant http://www.springer.com/philosophy/epistemology+and+philosophy+of+science/book/978-1-4020-9509-2 all of the major figures* from that period of German Philosophy have been brought into interaction with contemporary physics/mathematics.
*except for Fichte, who can possibly be brought into interaction with contemporary mathematics via David W. Wood’s work.)
Thanks!
I have touched the formatting ever so slightly. The default syntax for quotations is
> quote goes here
With that it comes out indented and italicized automatically.
