Of course, both ARE used in practice the former in algebraic topology the second in algebra. Another point is that, given the importance of the notion os Symmetric Group, if you search the Lab on that term it is not listed as it redirects to [[permutation]]. There is a lot that can be said about symmetric groups as such, especially with regard to permutation representations and the Burnside ring. Should we split this entry?

   Format: MarkdownItexI agree. It seems like the nLab has a pretty consistent habit of having separate pages for things and the-category-of-things. For example [[locale]] and [[Loc]]. So to be consistent there should be separate pages for permutations and the-set-of-permutations.
