    started a minimum here with a brief Idea-section and collecting some basic references for Regge calculus and for the ’t Hooft-van de Meent approach.

    Also mentioned that examples of piecewise flat spacetimes naturally appear from the “far horizon geometry” of BPS black branes in supergravity. Does anyone in the literature make the connection?
