I have come across the website Group Names. I looked at our mathematics resources pages and could not see where this might most usefully fit. What suggestions do people have? It might just merit an entry of its own.
Tough question. Let’s see. Maybe this should be linked at algebra? Nah. Or at set? Possibly not. Hm, dunno, possibly at… group?! But let’s not jump the gun.
I am really asking the users (and in particular those who put lots of tables of important groups in entries!) if they think this might be worth linking to. Would it be useful? I discovered it when looking for dicyclic groups as our current entry on the quaternion group was not quite clear on the relationship between generalised quaternion groups and general dicyclic groups. On the basis that it might be of use I have put a link at math resources by individuals.
