    Bruce spent some time with us in Bangor many years ago, so I know him slightly. He was a visiting fellow at Aberystwyth. He worked with Alun Morris there and came up to talk to Chris Wensley and Ifor Morris on symmetric group reps. (He also plays the Norwegian fiddle!)

    On that Groups-mailing list they seemed to say that Bruce Sagan is/was a cousin of Carl Sagan. Google doesn’t immediatly confirm this, and maybe it was just a joke, but it makes me think of “Billions and Billions of Finite Groups”.
