I request a published personal web for notes. The initial purpose of the personal web is to keep my notes on discussions in nForum, and on pages in nLab, about the initiality project, for which I have enlisted. I may want to add notes on some other topics later on.

Much of these notes may not be suitable for inclusion in the main pages, because of my ignorance of type theory, higher category theory, and logic. (In fact, I hope to use the notes to diminish that ignorance.) Whenever there is anything in the notes that seems fit to go mainstream, I can ask on nForum, and include the content if it is generally agreeable.

    Thank you for your consideration.

Hi raghu. We generally require people to have spent a reasonable amount of time working on the nLab and participating in nForum discussions before a personal web is made available. It’s a community where people need to get to know each other a little first.

By all means, ask on the nForum about proposed nLab pages.

To add to what David said, I’ll note that of those people who we previously gave a private web to and who didn’t very actively edit the main web, all of them abandoned their private web almost right away after getting it. Which shows that the requirement of first showing consistent activity on the main nnLab not only helps the regulars here to decide on candidate private webs, but also helps the candidate authors to find out what it actually means to edit regularly, and whether that’s really what they wish to be doing.

The nlab source code is on github so if you really want you could host your own little private server, and keep your notes like that. I understand that writing on the nlab is much easier than writing LaTeX notes.

    Alright, I understand. No problems.
