This seems to be a recent change in behaviour of the nLab, which hopefully can be fixed in near time:

as far as I can see currently all links that go from one web to another point to the links marked as"published" instead of those marked as "show".

I think this is not the intended behaviour and it would be nice if this could be changed back: as long as a web is not explicitly password protected, it should offer all readers the "edit" button.

But more seriously is this: currently whenever such a link points to the nLab itself, one gets the message that "a published version of the nLab does not exist".

This is bad. I know how to handle it and get to the entry that I want to see nevertheless, but not all readers will know this.

    Best, Urs

P.S. I'll post a copy of this message also to the forum, so that others will be aware of it, too.

Perhaps this new bug was introduced by Jacques fixing this bug? I would say that inter-web links should go to "show," unless the destination web is both (a) password protected and (b) published, in which case they should go to "published".

Actually, I'm a bit confused about why it is possible for a web to be non-password-protected but also published.

Another thought: if a web is neither password protected nor published, it would make sense to me for "published" to redirect to "show" (although links should still go directly to "show," so this ought not to really matter).
